Hofbrau der Albatross

If you're in the mood for a hand-carved roast beef sandwich, Hofbrau is the place to be. The tantalizing aromas should help you find your way to the restaurant hidden behind the other shops. Hofbrau offers a casual dining atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. Diners pick up a tray and place orders at the counter where the soups and salads are served cafeteria-style. At the beginning of the line is the roast beef, carved per order. It's difficult to get past the delicious smell and actually order something else, but whatever your choice, I'm sure you'll be pleased with it. We have not been disappointed with any of the food we've been served at Hofbrau.

Perhaps surprising, the clam chowder at Hofbrau is one of my favorites. The fish and chips are equally tasty but a little greasy. The sandwiches and burgers are hearty and the fries are fantastic. For a German flavor, try the Rathskeller - bratwurst with cheese and sauerkraut. And of course you can spice up any dish with the self-serve condiment bar including spicy mustard and horseradish.

Kids' Opinion: "The mac n' cheese at Hofbrau is reeeeaally good and the fries are soooooooo yummy. You can get free refills on your drinks! The decorations make it feel German."
